Since its early days, when it was only available on an XBox, Kodi (or XBMC as it was known then) has expanded rapidly and is now available on a wide range of formats. These formats include well known systems such as Android but, perhaps less well known is that Kodi can also run on OS X and Linux platforms.
In this tutorial, we’re going to look at how you can install Kodi on a Mac desktop or laptop – it’s all incredibly easy, and can be done in three quick steps.
1. First of all head on over to http://kodi.tv/download/ and click on the OS X download link
2. Open the downloaded file. You can generally access the file directly from your browser – the screenshot below shows how to open the file within Google Chrome.
3. You’ll be presented with the screen below. Simply drag the Kodi icon on to the application folder and the download will begin to install.
4. And that’s all there is to it. Once the install has completed, just open up your Apps folder and you’ll find Kodi ready to go. Click on the Kodi icon and the platform will start up a you’d expect.
Hope that helps – if there are any problems at all, then drop a comment below the article and I’ll get back to you. Alternatively, you can message me directly on Twitter.
